Saffron Rouge: Organic Beauty Haven

Today, I would like to share one of my favorite websites!

I think it was by random chance that I happened to come across saffronrouge.com. But I’m so glad that I did! Basically, the site doesn’t sell any beauty products that aren’t organic (in fact, it’s the first beauty retailer in the world to focus exclusively on organics). And it sells products not just for women but for babies and men as well.

Saffron Rouge was founded in 2002 by Kirstin Binder and its goal is to “operate a website where consumers can shop carefree because they know that everything we carry is truly organic.” Indeed, I find the site so convenient. Sephora.com also has products under its ‘Natural’ category and I do shop there as well but Saffron Rouge has much more detailed information on its products and sells stuff that you don’t easily come across.

Most of the products aren’t cheap and some are more on the medium to high range in prices but I think for some knowing that they are not putting plastics, silicones, and petroleum on their skin is worth the price. And talking about chemicals in cosmetics… This topic deserves its own blog entry so I’ll write one soon (stay tuned!). Okay, back to the main point…

Saffron Rouge offers a wide array of organic options and even if you weren’t looking to buy, it’s fun to just browse through and see what kind of products are out there in the land of organics.

Below are some of my favorite brands/products (you can find them on saffronrouge.com).

Organic Herbal Shampoo By Dr. Alkaitis (I haven't tried it yet but would like to!)

Regenerating Serum By Dr.Hauschka (it's good for oil-pron or acne skin)

Anti-Aging Mist By Intelligent Nutrients (you can find Intelligent Nutrients at Barneys as well)
